The Correct Way To Open The Inner Cap Of The Reagent Bottle

Apr 07, 2022

We all know that many reagents have inner caps. Let's not talk about how to open the inner cap. We have thought that since there is already a cap outside, why add an inner cap? Is it superfluous? In fact, not really, the inner cover is really necessary.

The function of the inner cover: First, it plays a better airtight role. The inner cover and the bottle are tightly buckled, which not only reduces the entry of air and water vapor, but also reduces the volatilization of the reagents in the bottle and prevents the reagents from deteriorating; second, the inner cover is relatively tight. It can prevent the leakage of the reagent, but it is a secondary protection for the reagent; the third is that the materials of the inner cover and the outer cover are different, and the tolerance to the reagent is better and more anti-corrosion; The probability of not being polluted is also small. In short, it is probably mainly to prevent the leakage/deterioration of reagents.

The correct way is: use the outer cap to carefully insert the edge of the inner cap, do not rush at first, slowly insert it, then slowly turn around the inner cap, and then slowly open it a little to release the inside of the bottle. Pressure, and finally take off the entire inner cover with a little force.

In this way, the inner cover can be removed easily and conveniently without any potential danger or damage to the integrity of the inner cover.
